Parkinson Association of Alberta

The only Alberta-based organization dedicated to supporting Albertans and their families living with Parkinson disease, Parkinson Association of Alberta eases the burden through advocacy, education, client services and research funding.

Since 1973, Albertans affected by Parkinson disease have had an organization to look to for support and information. In January 2013, Parkinson Association of Alberta became a standalone, provincial organization committed to providing the best in services and resources.

Parkinson Association of Alberta is a registered charitable organization that relies on the generosity of donors to fund its operations. Parkinson Association of Alberta’s independence from a national body ensures 100 per cent of funds raised in Alberta benefit Albertan’s affected by Parkinson disease.

Accountability, stewardship and reporting-Parkinson Association of Alberta is the recipient of all funds. More than 40 years of experience in the business of managing funds and donor relations have given us the expertise to allocate and distribute funds for projects like the Buchanan Centre.
