  Pool for Parkinson’s

 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Location: Chill Billiards - 134 13226 Macleod Trail SE
Some people believe playing pool is the perfect exercise due to its long periods of rest between activities. Others say they like to play pool because it is a social physical activity that can last for a couple hours.
What we know from experience is that our Pool for Parkinson’s players come out, listen to music, laugh, have fun…and most of the time, the balls stay on the table. Why not come out and see for yourself?
For information call Ken at 403-616-4411.

Recent research in neuroscience demonstrates that exercise and learning approaches that promote aerobics and skill acquisition may protect vulnerable neurons, repair damaged circuits, and optimize function in persons with Parkinson disease (PD).

Dr. Becky Farley is a physical therapist, neuroscientist and Parkinson exercise specialist who developed PWR!Moves® to directly target foundational skills shown by research to become impaired in PD and that interfere with everyday mobility.

Syn.ap.tic has certified PWR!Moves® Therapists who have the skills and knowledge to teach an evidenced based neuro-specific approach in a small group setting or on an individual basis.
