Support That Goes Where YOU Do!
With the sunny days, outdoor excursions and fun-filled family activities that often happen during Alberta's short summer season, it can be easy to forget to reach out and get the support you need to live well with Parkinson disease or a Parkinson's Plus Syndrome.
Parkinson Association of Alberta is here for you year-round. Though the majority of the 33 in-person support groups do not run over the summer (CLICK HERE to find out when and where in-person groups take place in your Region), Parkinson Association of Alberta is pleased to offer three (3) Alberta retired Teachers Association (ARTA) Charitable Foundation Tele-Support Groups:
- one for people living with and affected by Parkinson disease,
- one for people living with and affected by a Parkinson's Plus Syndrome (PSP, MSA, CBD or LBD), and
- one exclusively for Care Partners.
Led by one of PAA's trained Client Services Coordinators, these three telephone call-in groups provide the same level of support and expertise available at an in-person group-wherever you are. Support that goes where YOU do...All you have to do is pick up the phone!
These groups run consistently every month; specifics for each of the three options are listed in the table below; advanced registration is required. For more information call toll-free 1-800-561-1911 or CLICK HERE!
