Flexxaire Parkinson Step 'n Stride - September 12, 2020

Share Your Story & Tell Us "Why You Walk!"

Once again, we are asking past walkers, clients, care partners, families and other supporters to create short videos (no longer than 90 seconds in length) or written stories sharing why you, your family, and/or your team participates in Step 'n Stride.  Quite simply we want you to answer the question "Why I Walk".

Videos can be easily taken with a cell phone camera or webcam and then emailed to PAA (see below). Want write about your story? Answer a few questions by downloading this form CLICK HERE. Of course privacy can be an issue so please note that these videos or written content may be shared on our website, Facebook, YouTube channel, Instagram, Twitter and Google+ accounts.

A couple of things to keep in mind:

  • Utilizing artists' music can be touchy in general, but especially on YouTube and social media - it is a violation of copyright when you use an artists' music without permission.  The best thing to do is avoid it or create your own words to the music.
  • All video submissions become the property of Parkinson Association of Alberta
  • If you are looking for the videos on social media search the hashtags #StepNStride and/or #WhyIWalk; alternatively if you want to post directly to your own social media account please use those same hashtags so that we can favorite, like and/or retweet!

Video submissions will be accepted by email to communications@parkinsonalberta.ca until September 11, 2020.

Video Challenge Submissions can be viewed on our Step 'n Stride You Tube Channel

Video submissions will be used for promotional purposes by Parkinson Association of Alberta.  Videos will be posted on Parkinson Association of Alberta's website and YouTube Channel and videos may appear in other promotional pieces including, but not limited to, social media forums (Facebook, Twitter, etc), e-communications and presentations.  By submitting a video, you consent to its promotional use by Parkinson Association of Alberta.  Videos will become property of Parkinson Association of Alberta.

Language, images or content that is deemed offensive or unacceptable by Parkinson Association of Alberta will not be promoted or shared.
