DESCRIPTION:Many of us know someone who has been affected by Parkinson’s disease\, a progressive neurological disorder that mainly affects parts of the brain controlling movement. \nStep ‘n Stride is our annual walk for Parkinson’s\, helping to raise much-needed funds and bring awareness for Parkinson’s Disease and Atypical Parkinsonism (formerly known as Parkinson Plus Syndromes). \n\nWe walk at Step ‘n Stride to help raise awareness of Parkinson disease and Atypical Parkinsonism\, which affects more than 1 in 500 people across Canada\, and more than 15\,000 Albertans. \nWe walk at Step ‘n Stride to help raise the funds needed to deliver the programs and services our communities have come to depend on. \nWe walk to support the ones we love and care for. \n\nStep ‘n Stride is for everybody! Come join us on September 12th in Yellowknife and September 19 & 20 in Alberta. We’ll bring you fun-filled\, inclusive\, family-friendly weekend events! Share support\, laughter\, fresh air\, great food\, and entertainment while being part of the Parkinson’s community.
