Support those we love this Season of Giving
On behalf of our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers and those who choose to share their journeys with us, we thank you for your past support of the work of our organization. Nearly 75% of our operating funds come directly from people like you through donations and event participation. To the end of September this year, Parkinson Association of Alberta welcomed 305 new clients for a total of nearly 2600 people who seek regular support from our organization. Whether through one-on-one/family support, participation in one of our 40 support groups across Alberta and Northwest Territories, attending one of the 66 educational webinars we’ve run this year, or joining in our many voice, cognitive and physical activities, people living with a Parkinson’s diagnosis and their loved ones are finding the resources and creating the connections they need.
We are blessed with 12 incredible team members across the province who, regardless of their actual job descriptions, are committed to ensuring a safe and supportive environment when people make the choice to reach out. If you or a loved one has received a Parkinson’s diagnosis, we encourage you to connect with Parkinson Association of Alberta to find the resources right for you. If you’re already part of our Parkinson’s community, we thank you again for your ongoing commitment and friendship.
As we prepare to welcome a new year, please consider Parkinson Association of Alberta in your charitable giving plans. So many people across our service area aren’t yet receiving support and the rate of diagnosis continues to increase. With your help, we will remain the source for support, education and active programming for those affected by Parkinson disease and Parkinson’s plus syndromes.
