Survey of physical activity and health during pregnancy in people with physical disabilities and health conditions

Researchers at the University of Alberta are conducting an online survey to examine relationships between physical activity during pregnancy, perinatal health outcomes, and physical health conditions. The researchers are interested in hearing from people with diverse health conditions and disabilities, such as multiple sclerosis, chronic pain, spinal cord injury, and more. Findings from the study will advance understanding of physical activity among pregnant people with physical health conditions, inform the development of inclusive prenatal guidance, and help develop strategies that support the well-being of pregnant individuals.

Who is eligible to participate in the study?

  • Individuals 18 years of age or older
  • Currently pregnant or pregnant within the last 10 years
  • Have a physical disability or health condition

What is required of the participants?

Completing an anonymous online survey (~30 minutes) at https://redcap.link/surveyPD
